The Cedars Cancer Foundation is committed to the safety, health, and well-being of our patients, staff, volunteers, patrons and their families. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves worldwide, the Foundation is closely monitoring the situation.

In accordance with “La direction de la santé publique” regarding the COVID-19 situation and in response to the decree by Quebec Premier François Legault, the Cedars Cancer Foundation is postponing all its activities and events, including the Cedars Hockey to Conquer Cancer Tournament, until further notice. New dates for the postponed events will be announced as soon as they are available.

President and CEO Jeff Shamie, stated: “It’s our responsibility to make every effort to limit the spread of the COVID-19. Our main concern is for our patients and their families and as the MUHC’s philanthropic arm to fight cancer, we’ll continue to work as a team to support the Cedars Cancer Centre's activities and priorities at the MUHC."

This 3 on 3 tournament will bring hundreds of players together, all of whom have the common goal of raising funds for the Division of Radiation Oncology. We have also invited the Montreal Canadiens Alumni Team to play throughout the tournament!

Each team is guaranteed to play three (3) games with a potential playoff game. The game will consist of two (2) periods of 12 minutes running time. This is a no-contact game and all players must be 18 or older to play.

Each hockey player is tasked with fundraising in support of the cause. If you would like to take part of this journey, you can donate to any player or create your own team of 10 members.

The goal is to provide an entertaining afternoon while bringing the community together to increase awareness of and raise important funds for The Division of Radiation Oncology.
