On the weekend of October 22-24th, 2021 I will be participating in the 20th Edition of Splash & Dash Virtual Step Challenge. Join me in raising much-needed funds to support vital programs and services to improve the lives of all young cancer patients and their families on Sarah’s Floor at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Sarah's Floor and Sarah's Fund for Cedars are named in honour of my dear friend Lorena Cook's daughter Sarah. Diagnosed with cancer at age 8, Sarah's Fund began with Sarah's dream, as she received cancer treatment in hospital, of buying new pillows and making life for the families on the floor a little easier. To date, over $12 million has been raised - and the need continues. Sarah continues to inspire us all with her compassion for young cancer patients.
This year Splash & Dash is once again virtual. Together let us take one step at a time to celebrate the heroes on Sarah's Floor.
I'll be taking my steps as we celebrate our twin sons' 23rd birthday this weekend and stop to remember all the medical professionals who have supported our family through our sons' extreme premature birth and many medical challenges over these many years. While our story is very different, we believe that we can relate to the experience of the children and families on Sarah's Floor in a unique way.
