On March 2, 2022, I had a stroke that left my left side paralyzed at the age of 18. That event lead to a diagnosis of testicular cancer. Though the news was tragic I was fortunate to have the support of friends and family, not to mention the excellent medical care I received during my many months of recovery.
My journey is not yet over, but I want to help others who may be in the same situation but do not have the support system that I am blessed with.
This year, I will be taking part in the 17th Annual FL Fuller Landau Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race to help raise awareness and much needed funds for Cedars CanSupport, who provide free, supportive care to cancer patients and their families at the Cedars Cancer Centre of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).
Cancer patients and their families face challenges every day and my efforts combined with donations from my friends will support them when they are at their most vulnerable.
Cheer us on by supporting my team! Let’s make the 2022 Dragon Boat Race have a lasting positive impact.
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration and generosity.
