This year, I will be taking part in the 15th Annual FL Fuller Landau Cedars Dragon Virtual Challenge to help raise awareness and much needed funds for CanSupport, who provide free, supportive care to cancer patients and their families at the Cedars Cancer Centre of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).
Unfortunately due to Covid 19 The Dragon Boat Race will not take place this year. In honour of our son Kevin, I have decided to kayak a distance of 15 KM on Bobs Lake where Kev loved to spend his time. Kevin made us aware of Cedars Cancer Foundation CanSupport when he started THE DUSTY PADDLES for the Dragon Boat Fundraising Festival in Lachine September 2016. He had a strong admiration for Cedars CanSupport which was of great support to Kevin and our family during his battle with cancer. I’ll be completing my paddling challenge this week.
We cannot take a pause in cancer care. Cancer patients and their families are still facing challenges every day and we need to support them through this important time.
Please cheer us on by supporting my team! Let’s make the Dragon Virtual Challenge a lasting positive impact. We may not be able to share the impact in person this year but coming together online with friends and family can show that we are still a united community.
HI TO EVERYONE: Just to let you all know that I along with my good friend Gloria have finished our challenge for Kev's Dusty Paddles!!! We completed 14kms against the wind. Thank you all for your support for this great organization.
Love Heather
