On September 7th, 2019 I will take part for the 3rd year in the 14th Annual Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race & Festival in order to help raise awareness and much needed funds for cancer patients and their families at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC).
Along with my team, JELLI FISH KIDS - BRINGING IT HOME, we will be training to improve our techniques, synchronization, power strokes, and overall dragon boating team technique so that we will be victorious on Race Day in both our racing and fundraising efforts.
All monies raised go directly to Cedars CanSupport, a division of the Cedars Cancer Foundation which aims to aid patients and there families who are currently undergoing cancer treatment. Cedars CanSupport provides free psychological, emotional, practical and financial support to cancer patients and their families being treated at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC).
This year I paddle for my uncle Amore Tortolano who has been fighting, not the battle, but the war to survive for the past 2 years. For him and all those dear family members and friends who have suffered and lost their battle, I join this cause and hope you will help to support me and my team raise much needed funds. Why not come cheer us on at the beautiful Promenade Pére Marquette in Lachine on Saturday, September 7th. A fun-filled day is in store!
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration and generosity.
