For the first time, I will be participating in the Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race & Festival on September 7th 2019.
Why did I wait for so long? Well…
Most of you who know me are aware that I have struggled with my weight since birth. It got to a point where I needed to walk with a cane and needed two hip replacements. Fast forward to October 2017: I began a ketogenic diet and to date have lost 137 pounds, had both hips replaced, one last July and the other one in January.
Now I feel like a new man, with renewed energy and I am even playing some golf in my spare time. For this reason, I am dedicating myself to the 14th annual Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race as a personal challenge and a chance to help those in need.
As both my parents died of cancer, I believe Cedars Cancer Foundation is an organization worth supporting as their proceeds provide free, supportive care to cancer patients and their families at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) Cedars Cancer Centre.
Please help me in this fight against cancer and supporting the Montreal community by joining me along the waterfront of Montreal’s scenic Promenade Père-Marquette in Lachine on September 7th.
Thank you for your continuous support.
